Who is responsible

COOMETALS is a price and margin reference project for the scrap market. The controller of the personal data processed on this site is Marcos Paulo Correa, CNPJ 25.398.644/0001-00 (MEI). The channel for data subjects, for any request or question about your data (Law 13,709/2018, the Brazilian LGPD), is the email contato@coometals.com or the form at the end of this page.

What data we collect

The margin calculator runs on your device: the values you type in it are not sent or stored. We do not collect payment data or personal documents. The prices and indices shown on the page come from public sources and are aggregated; they do not involve personal data.

What we use it for and the legal basis

We use name, WhatsApp, email, city and state/country, option and message to talk to you about what you chose in the form (pilot, supply, scrap purchase, price reference or other topic) and to send notices about the project. The legal basis is your consent (art. 7, I, of the LGPD), which you give by ticking the authorization box and can withdraw at any time. The IP and time of submission are used for security and abuse prevention, and visit measurement serves to know whether the page works; both based on legitimate interest (art. 7, IX). We do not sell your data, do not use it for third-party advertising and do not make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

Your data is accessed only by whoever runs the project. To work, the site uses processors: Netlify, Inc. (hosts the page and stores form submissions), Akismet (a service Netlify uses to detect spam, which analyzes the content of each submission), Google LLC (the responsible person's email, through Gmail), ImprovMX (forwards emails sent to the project address) and GoatCounter (visit measurement). These services may process data on servers outside Brazil, for example in the United States, which involves international data transfer (art. 33 of the LGPD). It is carried out to provide the service, with your specific and highlighted consent, given in the second authorization box of the form. If you prefer not to consent, do not use the form; contact by email goes through the same email services (Google and ImprovMX), and by writing to us you are aware of this. You can withdraw consent at any time, and contact through these means may then no longer be possible. When we talk to you on WhatsApp or by email, the conversation also goes through those services. We share your data with third parties beyond these only if there is a legal obligation or an order from an authority.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as the conversation lasts and for up to 12 months after the last contact, or until you ask for deletion, whichever comes first. After that, we delete the data, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

At any time and free of charge you can ask for: confirmation that we process your data; access; correction; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed without a legal basis; portability; information about who we share it with; deletion of data processed with consent; and withdrawal of consent (art. 18 of the LGPD). Confirmation that we process your data and access in a simplified format are provided immediately; the full declaration, within 15 days. Write to contato@coometals.com or use the form below, giving the contact you used when you signed up. For your security, we only respond through the contact on record and may ask for confirmation through that channel before accessing, correcting or deleting data. If you believe your rights were not met, you can also complain to the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), at gov.br/anpd.

Children and teenagers

The site is aimed at professionals and companies in the scrap sector and people over 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children or teenagers; if we find out, we will delete it.

Security

The page is served over a secure connection (HTTPS), access to form submissions requires login and there is a filter against automated submissions. If a security incident occurs that may cause you relevant risk or harm, we will notify you and the ANPD, as required by art. 48 of the LGPD.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is at the top of this page, and important changes will be notified through the contact you gave us.
